Kansas City, Mo. — (May 21, 2024) — James Engle Custom Homes will embark on it’s newest home building project on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 5417 Aberdeen in Fairway, KS.  The demolition and ground breaking ceremony will take place at 10 AM.

James Engle Custom Homes has committed to teaming up with Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City and donating the funds raised from the sale of this home to help match more kids with positive adult mentors.  For the past 25 years, James Engle Custom Homes has worked with many other Kansas City non-profits including PAN CAN, Charlie’s House, Callyn’s Course and Head for the Cure.

This newest home, which has been named the Builders of Potential home, is a stunning, custom-built residence nestled in the “Golden Triangle” of Fairway, KS.  The home is surrounded by a canopy of trees with a location that shines as one of the metro’s most desirable.  It is situated just a short distance from high-end and convenience shopping, downtown, country clubs, schools and churches.  This home will become James Engle Custom Homes largest single donation to date.

“Over the past couple of years, I’ve been learning more about the work that Big Brothers Big Sisters is doing in the community,” said James Engle, CEO of James Engle Custom Homes.  “I’ve heard some amazing stories of impact and seen the impactful statistics that prove the work they are doing is vital for our community.  Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City is building potential for young people in Kansas City so we in turn would like to build a home that will go directly towards helping more kids experience the power of a mentor.”

Micheal Lawrence, CEO at Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City stated, “This is the first time a home builder has done anything like this for us, it’s an incredibly generous and creative concept that we are honored to be a part of.  The homes built by James Engle Custom Homes have a dedication to craftsmanship and quality and now this home will also serve as a beacon of their commitment to building potential for kids in Kansas City.”

Media are invited to join us as we break ground and start demo.  Representatives from James Engle Custom Homes and Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City will be present.  Color renderings of the new home will be debuted at this event.
